A small website update, a new Maya project (Pirate Ship W.I.P.), and a new poll. The website update was just a fix to the background. I was having several problems with it and was undecided on the color. If you didn't notice, the "Jr.Who Animations" in the banner is in Japanese (Katakana) for this update.
I'm hoping to get the Pirate Ship textured within 3 weeks.

Finally, an update to the Spitfire (and a website update)! I'm hoping to have another update in 3 weeks, unless somthing comes up. If you would like to see the progress of the Spitfire Plane, click here.

A small website update. I've delayed the Spitfire for a while, due to the holidays. I forgot how hard it is to work in Maya around this time of year. The update includes:
•New "About" page
•Removed a bunch of links and added one (Joopson Toons)
•Other minor changes
I'm going to try to get the Spitfire finished before New Year's. I still have lots of tweaking to do with it, but it's going very slow. I'm still having some problems with the other things that I wanted to add to the website and I'm hoping to get these on as soon as I can.

A major website update, a new Maya project (Spitfire Plane), and a new poll. The website update includes:
•New header, footer, and corner images for a new Mac OS X Leopard look
•New banner and navigation bar images (with better gloss)
•New background
•Other minor updates
I have also re-uploaded my Maya videos (they are smaller, but are better quality) and I've re-uploaded the small images (the 2D and 3D pages will load faster now). I still have a few things that I want to do to the site that I couldn't fit into the update, which I will hopefully be able to integrate into the next one. Every time I update the site I will be updating the banner with "Jr.Who Animations" in a new font, to keep it looking renewed and fresh.
I'm hoping to update in 3 weeks with the Spitfire textured.

A website update, another update to Assault Mech, there’s now an animation of Assault Mech, the Dominoes animation is now a higher quality video, and an update to the poll. The website update includes:
•The 2D and 3D pages have been redesigned
•There is now a box around the visitor counter
•Other minor updates
I should be updating within 3 weeks with a new Maya project. Mac OS X Leopard comes out this Friday, so I will most likely be playing around with that for a couple of days. If you would like to see the progress of the Assault Mech, click here.

A website update and an update to Assault Mech. The website update includes:
•A new glossy banner and navigation bar
•Fixed some borders and put a border around the navigation bar
•Added alt text to the images
•Updated some of the Bravenet web tools (mailing list, poll, and tell-a-friend)
•Other minor updates
I’m going to try to animate the Assault Mech. I’m hoping that it doesn’t take longer than 2 weeks to complete.

A little design update, the Assault Mech is now textured, and a new poll. The design update includes:
•The poll is wider now
•The border color is now black so that it looks more defined
•I fixed a problem with one of the side content boxes that was not lining up correctly
I am glad to announce that October 28th is the 2nd year anniversary for JWA (this is the earliest date that I have found for anything with my website, so I am assuming that it is correct)! The website has seen much growth this year (I estimate that the traffic has doubled), and it looks like it will continue to increase. I am going to rig the Assault Mech (since it is a hard surface model, I am hoping it will be easier to rig). Since I am going on a vacation this weekend, I do not know how long it will take to finish rigging it and putting it in a pose. Although, I will estimate that it won’t be longer than 3 weeks.

A design update and 1 new Maya project (Assault Mech PREVIEW). The design update includes:
•Fixed a bug with the corner images over the banner being a pixel off
•Fixed a bug where a blue border would appear around the banner image in some browsers
•Some small typos fixed around the site
I should update within 2-3 weeks with the Assault Mech textured.

Just a small update to G.I. Sorry guys, it was my first time trying to bind something in Maya, and it was proving too difficult. The training I got for the binding was not advanced enough for the character I wanted to bind. I will be reading a book on animating and rigging soon, and I’m hoping that it will help me understand it better. There will be an update in 2 weeks, with a new Maya project.
I haven’t been able to do any more ZBrush training, because ZBrush 3 hasn‘t come out on the Mac, yet. A new version of Maya will be coming out in September, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Update: Just a design update. The update includes:
•There is now a new favicon (the image next to the web address, in the URL bar)
•The Email me page is now the Contact page
•I changed the color of the site a little bit
•I redid the rounded corners (they are a less slanted now)
•I fixed a problem when there was some empty space between the banner and the navigation buttons
•The navigation buttons now load about 10 times faster
•I redesigned the background image
•I redesigned the poll (I made all of the fonts match (except for the title), and matched the colors to the site)
The only problem that I’ve spotted right now, is that I’m having a problem with some of the corner images. The reason I haven’t updated my G.I., is that binding is much harder than I thought. I‘ve rigged him very well, I’m just having some problems with the binding. Hopefully, I’ll be able to update within the next 2 weeks with him in a pose.

Update: The G.I. is now textured, there’s a new poll, I’ve fixed the problem with the stretching on the 3D images (the smaller ones), and another design update. The design update includes:
•There is now an image map on the banner, meaning if you click on “Jr.Who Animations”, it will take you to the News Page, and if you click on the Quote, it will take you to the Quote Archive
•Links are now a different color
•When you scroll over the navigation bar, the text will now underline
•The website is now running on XHTML 1.0 Transitional (it was previously running on HTML 4.01 Transitional)
•Several links have been fixed, the links have been rearranged, and some typos have been fixed
I should be updating in 3 weeks, because next week I will be busy doing something, and the week after that I’m going on a Summer vacation. In my next update I should have the G.I. rigged, binded, and in a pose.

Update: 1 new 3D project (G.I. PREVIEW) and a major design update. The new design update includes:
•The website's width is now 955 px (it used to be 760 px)
•Major links update (5 new links and 3 edited)
•The Flash page is now the 2D page
•The Maya page is now the 3D page
•The navigation bar has been updated (Main has been updated to News, Flash to 2D, and Maya to 3D)
I really enjoyed doing the G.I. model, I've learned a lot from this tutorial, and I can't wait to texture him. Since I keep learning new things from these Maya tutorials, and I really like them, I'm going to keep on doing them (the tutorials come from Simply Maya). The reason the Flash page has been turned into the 2D page is because I might put some 2D artwork (I just finished some Illustrator training) up in the future (which means it could be months from now). The Maya page has been turned into the 3D page because I might be doing some 3D work with other programs (I also just finished some ZBrush (a 3D sculpting program) training). During the Summer, I'm planning on taking some other training (right now I'm taking Dreamweaver training, and I'm planning on taking more training for ZBrush, more training for Maya, etc.) and doing a lot more Maya tutorials. There is only one problem that I am having right now, the 3D pics (not the HD ones) seem to be squished a little. I’m trying to figure out why this happened, but in the mean time, I’d just recommend looking at the HD pics. I should be updating in 3-4 weeks with the G.I. textured, and after that, I’m going to get some new training for rigging and binding.

Update: The Car is now textured and I’ve updated the poll. My workflow should start speeding up after this week (I finish school this week). That other character that I was working on wasn’t very good, and the training that I had for the rigging and binding was outdated, so I’m going to make a new character (Textured too) and get some new rigging and binding training. I should update with that new character in about 3 weeks.

Update: 1 new Maya project (Car PREVIEW). This project still has some work on the modeling to be done, but I thought that I’d upload a preview of it. It will take me about 2 or more weeks to texture this one. What I used to do when I got to texturing was follow along almost exactly to what my teacher was doing, but on this project I will be personalizing it.

Update: The Interior Scene is now textured and I've updated the poll. Sorry for the slow update, but since the move, my workflow has slowed down a lot. I've delayed my older projects that I was going to work on, so those won't be updated in another 3 weeks or so. Hopefully once we get everything moved into the new house things will speed up some. I'm hoping to have another update in about 2-3 weeks, with a new Maya project that I've been wanting to work on for a long time, but it might be longer.

Update: 1 new Maya project (Interior Scene PREVIEW), I've updated Man PREVIEW (now Man), 2 new links (Lynda and SimplyMaya), and I've made almost all of my images into .png format (now they're smaller). I've decided to not animate Man, and start with a new model to animate. I almost have the skeleton finished on my new character, and when I'm done with that, I'll have to bind and skin him. I don't know when I'll be done with my new character. I'll be updating in about 2 weeks with the Interior Scene textured.

Update: The Frog is now textured, I updated the Maya page a bit, and there’s a new poll. I might update Domino in another 2 weeks or so. I put a skeleton into Man PREVIEW, but I don’t know when I’ll have him animated. I‘ll be updating in about a week with a new project.

Update: The Med Lab is now textured, there’s a new poll, and I‘ve fixed some minor typos. Texturing the Med Lab was fun, and it turned out pretty good. I’ve been working a little on some other past projects (Man PREVIEW and Domino), but I don’t know when I will have them updated. It’ll take about a week for me to texture the Frog.

Update: 1 new Maya project (Frog PREVIEW), a new poll, I‘ve cleaned up the Maya page a bit, and I‘ve fixed some minor typos. This is the project that I was having some problems with, but I figured out how to fix it. I should be updating in around 2 weeks with the newly textured Med Lab, and then it’ll take me another week to texture the Frog.

Quick update: Sorry guys, I’ve been having some major problems in Maya, and the project I had originally intended on launching is a failure, meaning I won’t be able to continue work on it again, unless someone helps me with it (I’ve contacted some people for help, but I don’t know if they will be able to solve my problem). I won’t be updating again for another week or so, unfortunately.

Update: Haunted House is now finished! This is my first major Maya project that I have finished, and it looks awesome. Hopefully my future Maya projects with turn out this great. Also, there’s a new poll. I should be updating in about a week with another preview for a new Maya project.

Update: I’ve just finished some Photoshop tutorials (I needed to do these because, to continue my Haunted House project I will need to know how to use Photoshop). I’ve also rearranged the Maya and Flash pages, so that the newest projects are on the top, took the Video Game Reviews out of the navigation bar, and some other minor changes. Hopefully I’ll be updating within 2-3 weeks or so with the completely finished Haunted House project.

Update: I've added 1 new Maya project (Haunted House PREVIEW), updated the visitor counter, fixed some typos, and fixed a link. 2006 was a big year for JWA, and 2007 will be even bigger! I'm planning on doing at least 4 big Maya projects, some little ones as they come too, and hoping for more. I will not be updating again for a month (maybe more, maybe less) because I'm going on a cruise next week.

Update: We‘ve finally moved to a subdomain of RuggFamily.com! There‘s also 1 new link (Rugg Family) and a new poll. I‘ve also updated the poll a little with some background textures. I won‘t be updating again until around the beginning of January (because of Christmas break!), but when I do I will have a report on what I might be doing on JWA during 2007. Have a great Christmas and New Year's!

Update: Flash and Maya have been giving me a ton of problems, so I can’t update as fast as I wanted to. Anyway, I’ve updated my site with 2 new Maya projects (Glass and Man Preview), 1 new Flash project (50 Flags), and a new poll. As you see in the poll I’m asking you guys if it’s OK with you to switch my domain over to a subdomain of RuggFamily.com. Switching over will give the site some better features:
•No more ads!
•More space for my web folder. That isn’t anything big now, but it might be in the future.
•Pages should load faster.
•And more bandwidth. Again, not big now, but it might be in the future.
Please vote yes!
